It's time to Thank a Teacher! Together with the public, the Virginia Lottery and its partners distributed a record 214,000 thank you notes during Teacher Appreciation Week in 2025.

The Thank a Teacher campaign runs now through May 8, 2026. We invite the public to thank their favorite Virginia K-12 public school teachers with a Virginia Lottery thank-you note. Every thank-you note a teacher receives includes a unique code that can be used to enter a drawing to win $2,500 from the Virginia Lottery and its' partners Brightstar Lottery and NPi and $2,500 in supplies for their school from The Supply Room. The four lucky teachers who win will be surprised at their school.
